Hours: Full-time (40 hours – five days a week – including weekends)
Store opening hours:
10am -18:30pm Monday to Saturday
10am – 6pm Sunday
Start Date: November 2023
Borough Kitchen is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our brand-new store in Battersea opening in October 2023.
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in maintaining the store’s daily operations. You will be responsible for assisting in managing the staff, inventory, visual merchandising, customer service and ensuring the store achieves sales targets.
Borough Kitchen is a renowned Cook Shop that caters to the home chef to provide everything needed for at-home entertaining, from the kitchen to the table. We are known for our rigorously testing and selecting of the best products in each category, with a focus on quality, functionality, and durability.
Responsibilities
Assist the Store Manager in the daily maintenance of store operations and sales targets.
Supervise the store team, including training, coaching and performance reviews.
Assist in conducting daily and weekly inventory checks to maintain stock levels.
Maintain high visual merchandising standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies to drive store performance.
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers as required.
Ensure that the store is clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
Create a positive and inclusive working environment by promoting teamwork, communication and collaboration.
Complete other tasks as assigned by the Store Manager
Requirements
At least two years of retail experience, with some experience in management
A passion for cooking and knowledge of the latest kitchen trends and products
Experience in visual merchandising and maintaining stock levels.
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
