Role purpose

The primary purpose of this role is work part of the Guest Services team to provide guests with a unique experience when visiting Battersea Power Station by using your impressive knowledge of the retailers, restaurants, facilities & the local community.

Key responsibilities

  • Welcoming customers & actively providing information, directions and other assistance to guests in and around the Battersea Power Station location.
  • Helping to keep the site safe and secure by complying with access control processes, signing in guests, being vigilant to potential threats and working with the site security team
  • Looking after the upkeep of the shared facilities & actively promoting the Power Stations products and services.
  • Assisting customers with shop mobility and accessibility needs.
  • Managing all incoming customer correspondence and communications whilst also providing a professional timely first-line response to all queries.
  • Assisting the Guest Service Team Leader in duties relating to promotional and PR activities.
  • Being part of the 50EB response team and providing response during incidents and contingency events, such as fire alarm activations, in line with the standard operating procedures
  • Dealing efficiently and calmly with any guest issues relating to lost property, first aid and safety protocols.
  • Helpfully providing visitors with other tourist information.

Required knowledge, skills, experience, and behaviours

  • Willingness and the skill set to learn about the location and the Power Station’s heritage.
  • A passion for customer service and connecting with customers, tourists & the local community.
  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude with the willingness to accommodate all visitor’s needs.
  • Results orientated and a desire to achieve high quality guest service standards consistently.

Working hours: The contract is 32 –40 hours per week, working Monday to Sunday with the earliest start time being 09:30 and the latest finish time being 21:30. There is the opportunity to work overtime subject to operational demand.
